Well Hello there TSHL fans.

First of all, I apologize for not reporting sooner.

Congratulations to the Mistawasis Warriors on finishing first overall in league standings.  I would also like to congratulate Ryan Watson for winning top scorer of the league and Darren Watson who won top goaltender.  Great job guys.

The series that pitted Mistawasis and Muskeg was a great one to watch.  It was fast end-to-end hard-hitting hockey with a lot of nice goals and saves for both goalies.  The games were a real treat for the very many fans that came out to watch both games, real “INDIAN HOCKEY.”

All league games for the first season of the TSHL are officially over.  It was an awesome first season with nothing but good things happening and more good things to come in the future.  Now we have to look forward to the playoffs, which should be just fine.

The first round has the Mistawasis Warriors playing the Sandy Lake Chiefs.  Onion Lake chose to play against the Little Pine Braves and Beardy’s selected Muskeg as their first round opponent leaving Moosomin and Montreal Lake to play each other.  These matchups are going to make for some very exciting hockey games.

We have received our first order of TSHL watches and they are beautiful.  Make sure and order one through me at 466-4483 or email me at treatysixhockeyleague@hotmail.com .

I also want to mention a little bit about my good friend, and probably a lot of you fans out there as well, Herbie Daniels. He, along with his son Dustin Daniels made history by being the first father/son combination to play on the same line during the game against Onion Lake on January 30.

Yours in Hockey,

TSHL President
