Hello and Happy New Year!!

I hope everybody’s Holidays went as well as mine did.  It’s been awhile but there hasn’t really been that much hockey with the holiday’s and everything.  Unfortunately for a lot of fans the Muskeg Lake Blues were to play host to the Montreal Lake Blue Jackets on December 20 at the Blaine Lake Arena but due to road conditions, the game had to be rescheduled.  Not a good start to the holidays for the hockey fans.

Eight days later their was another setback for the TSHL as fans from all over once again descended on the Blaine Lake Arena only to be sent home again due to a power failure.  A much-anticipated game between rivals from the neighboring reserves of Muskeg and Mistawasis will have to be settled at later date.

On December 23, the Mistawasis Warriors traveled to Onion Lake and defeated the Eagles by a 14-4 score.

On December 30 the Muskeg Lake Blues were finally able to host a game at the Blaine Lake Arena where they defeated the Little Pine Braves 10-3 and moved into a tie for 4th place with the Sandy Lake Chiefs who traveled to Leask where they lost 17-1 to the 1st place Mistawasis Warriors.

Sunday January 2 saw the Moosomin Warriors lose to the Sandy Lake Chiefs by a final score of 15-3.

Till next time

Yours in Hockey,

TSHL President
